Merry Christmas And Happy New Year to UW Alumni Association Japan members!
Hope you are all enjoying the holiday season.
Please find below an invitation by the Washington State Japan Office to
a wine tasting event on January 31, 2014.
We have been requested by the UW Alumni Association to inform our
members regarding this Washington State Wine Tasting Event. Although
this is NOT a UW Alumni Association Japan event we think that this Event
will be of interest to you. The information is below (both English and
Japanese), if you are interested, please respond to them directly (as
well as direct all your inquiries regarding this event to Mr. Shinji
Takeuchi of the Washington State Japan Office).
We hope that we can hold another UWAAJ event in the Spring of 2014. When
we firm up the dates and the venue (and confirm attendance of any
special guests) we will be sending you another email.

Lastly, cheer the Huskies in the Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco on
December 27th (PST), they go against BYU Cougars.

Our annual wine party will be held as follows:

Fee: JPY 6,000 per person (includes meal and dessert, soft drink can be

To discourage no-shows, which kept us from breaking even in the last few
events, we decided to raise the fee by JPY 1,000 to JPY 6,000, while
keeping it JPY 5,000 (JPY 1,000 discount) for those who pay by 24th
